Happy New Year to all my readers - both of you! Thought you might like to see my veggie beds in the snow - it's all gone now, but it was fun while it lasted.
It's been a while, hasn't it? Sorry, but I've actually been too busy working to devote any time to blogging - I'm currently taking two cohorts through an ILM Level 3 Award in Management for a speciality chemical company and also taking two NHS cohorts through a Leadership programme. The former requires me to mark assignments and that's taking up loads of time - still, that's much preferable to the alternative!
Not much else to say at present - almost managed to run over my bete noir dog fox yesterday as he dashed out of my neighbour's driveway as I left for work but, sad to relate, I missed him. He's a big sod, though, but it would almost have been worth a dented car if I could have taken him down. My other garden problem at present is feral pigeons - I can put up with collared doves (even though they're non-native and were being pursued by twitchers in England as recently as the 1950s - amazing, eh?) and wood pigeons, but winged rats? No, thanks! So, what to do? I can't bring myself to stop feeding the garden birds so I guess I'll have to prepare some kind of Heath Robinson net thingy to keep the pigeons off. Still, it'll soon be time to get back out in the garden properly and I'll think about it then.
OK, to the next time!
